I was not happy with the updated App for Ring. Faster and direct to the Live View in a few simple taps. It also gives the option to link back to the original App if you want to access your history.
I recommend that you download Rapid Ring if you want to speed up your Ring service. The original APP worked just fine before they began to tinker and upgrade. I wanted to like this app. I have cams that are blocked when we are home since I do not want to have it record for all users access. Private areas of the home that should be blocked when I use the Home mode. Nope not with this app, it just keeps recording away for all to see, places the information in your timeline for any users who have access to the App including children.
Removing the app allowed the original Ring app to go back to the job it is supposed to do. Block recording when you need it blocked. But when you have multiple people who have access to private areas of your home they are watching away without any notification other than by chance you looking into your timeline history.
I was shocked and embarrassed at it recoding private areas of my home. If they allow this app to understand the modes, I will download it in a minute. After having an endless amount of issues with the Ring app making my cameras useless, I hoped downloading this app would solve my issues.
The camera will load more often than the Ring app but neither would load late last night when I received motion alerts. I never used to have an issue like this when I bought the original Ring Doorbell. As I mentioned in my other review, why would time and finances be spent on making an entirely new app to try and fix the issues with the other Ring app?
My settings are set to be as fast and sensitive as possible. Same problem many other of your other customers complain about. I wish you would at least have the option of turning off the 10 minute timer that shuts down live view. Should be the customers decision to drain the battery in live view.
Also, one of the times I tried calling you I was given the option of making an appointment for you to call me back but you never did. Hi Ford, I do apologize for this poor Ring experience. Any time I called customer service they would just have me run a reset and say it was working again and that there was nothing else they could do for me. I would definitely not recommend this doorbell to anyone, and I will be searching for a replacement as soon as I finish posting this review.
