A free and fun little animation program, Pivot Stickfigure Animator is exactly that -- an graphical animation utility which creates animated GIF files of stick figures doing whatever you want them to do.
The basic character in this program is a stick figure-type man. You can make it do various things by moving around the red point. Clicking "Next Frame" adds another frame; when changing the position of the stickman, you will notice a gray shadow depicting him in the previous frame. In addition to the typical VCR-style controls play, stop , this application also includes shortcuts to character editing which can be saved and loaded. The L key can be used to align a handle to its position in the previous frame. The path to the origin node is shown when selected segment highlighting is enabled in the figure builder.
